MIDTERM #5 (interlacing files)


Loding the image into GIMP


Me exporting the image in an interlaced jpeg format. Quality suffers from only scanning 1/2 of the vertical pixels






Progressive scanning on the export of the image makes the file larger, but better in quality.

This is an assignment to show different compression styles when exporting an image: progressive vs interlaced . It is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics.
